The Conditionals is a book project and this is its companion site. The site introduces the argument, hosts short essays, maps key passages, and shares project updates as the manuscript develops.
The author
Armant G — Bible teacher, reader, slow writer.
Armant G is a Bible teacher and writer with a pastoral concern for how Christians read their Bibles — especially the parts that make us uncomfortable. He has spent years studying the New Testament's conditional language — the way Jesus, Paul, John, James, Peter, and the author of Hebrews attach real outcomes to real responses — and has become convinced that modern readers have learned to hear the Bible's comforts loudly and its conditions softly.
The Conditionals is an attempt to let the New Testament speak with its full pastoral force. He lives and works in California.
The site

This site is built with SvelteKit and served from a Turso database. Typography is set in Source Serif 4 and Bricolage Grotesque. Composition in OKLCH. The design aims to be restrained, textual, and weighty — appropriate to the subject matter.
The site exists to introduce the book's argument, host short public essays that explore conditional texts, map the key New Testament passages the book works through, and share project updates as the manuscript develops.
